Congratulations on your upcoming marriage!
A Christian wedding is an affirmation of a couple’s commitment to each other and to God through Jesus Christ. The couple asks for God’s blessing on their life together and their promised love and faithfulness. If you choose to be married at St. James, we look forward to working with you to plan a ceremony that celebrates the joy and love you have for each other and for God.
Because of the seriousness of the marriage commitment, the Episcopal Church requires that a couple participate in pre-marital counseling. During these sessions, the Rector will guide the couple through a careful exploration of important aspects of a marital relationship. The length and nature of the instruction will reflect the uniqueness of each individual couple, and it is intended to be useful and enjoyable.

Julie has been overseeing weddings at St. James for more than 10 years. When not helping brides make it down the aisle, she is an employee benefits administrator and long time St. James choir member.
