Outreach Team
St. James' has a long history of caring for the community that surrounds it, providing both physical and spiritual aid over many years. We have also been a catalyst for many local community service non-profits providing food, resources and education to those who need them most.
The Outreach Team plans and budgets for annual community support including DHMC Chaplaincy and scholarships. They conduct fundraising events and organize parishioner volunteer support for Dismas House dinners, the Red Bag/Woodstock Community Food Shelf, Christmas projects including; Woodstock Therapeutic House and Vermont Department of Family Services annual Christmas Stocking giving program.
The team is also instrumental in scheduling coffee hour speakers representing community organizations.
Funds for our Outreach efforts are raised at our annual fair held in July. 2020 will mark the 95th year for this ever-popular event.
