Our Mission
It is the mission of St. James to seek to glorify God in this time and in this place. We do this in our worship and in our actions. We are committed to strive always to be a community that is founded on the inclusivity of God's love. |

St. James participates in a tremendous amount of Outreach within the community. The Woodstock Community Foodshelf is a good example: St. James was the origin of the Foodshelf, including organizing, forming, maintaining and housing the Foodshelf. Now St. James the Food Shelf has grown beyond the space St. James has available, and now we are sending it out to its own quarters in the community.
The St. James Fair: This is one of the signature events in the life of this Church. Every July the parish comes together to produce a fabulous fair on the green in front of the Church. There is lots of excitement and fun surrounding this event, with all manner of things for sale: linens, antiques, art, knick-knacks, white elephant items and food. United Thank Offering: This offering is gathered twice a year. Episcopalians throughout the Anglican Communion have UTO boxes into which they place offerings of Thanksgiving in their daily lives. These offerings are presented during a thanksgiving service at the general convention.
DOVE Program: St. James twice a year does a major collection of food and sundries for those living with HIV and Hepatitis C.
St. James also participates in numerous ways in the life of WIC, Child Protective Team, AA and other organizations.
